Beaten by a two year old! {Children's Photographer Melbourne}

Not long ago a photographed the gorgeous little Zac and his two year old brother James. Poor James hated the sight of my camera so we didn't get too many smiles on the day nor did we get a family shot of the four of them (we had to settle on a family of three!) Amanda and Drew decided they would like me to try again for another session as we thought perhaps James might be used to me etc. Well - yep I admit it - I have been defeated in this case! Normally kids love me but in poor James case he really really hates cameras. I was glad to hear that it wasn't just me and my camera - it's actually any camera pointed in the direction of him!) At least we got a photo of the whole family this time and of course some more gorgeous shots of beautiful little Zac. {Amanda & Drew - thanks for having me over for another try - Please give me a call when James overcomes his camera phobia and I'II definitely give it another go - maybe third time lucky?}

A Birthday Surprise? (Family Photography Melbourne}

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of photograhping brother and sisters Nicole, Melissa & Jamie. They decided to get some photos done as a suprise for their mum's 50th Birthday but due to a last minute cancellation a few weeks ago the secret was out! The location was at Hawkestowe Park in South Morang which is a fantastic spot with a lake, old homestead and heaps of rustic buildings and walls for backdrops (a photographers dream!) I must admit - taking photos of adults is SO much easier than running after a two year old - it was nice for a change!LOL

{My Cheeky Monkey} - Children's Photography Melbourne

Obviously the heat in Melbourne had made my middle child Cooper crazy today - as soon as the cool change came he was outside naked running around with the hose (tank water of course!). Next minute - here he is making a mud puddle and lovin it! So hard to get angry with this one - he has such a cheeky but adorable personality!LOL



Also last week I took the boys to Hawkestowe Park as I am having a session there very soon. Took a few shots of my willing model - can't you just see in the photos his fake cheesy grin - look like he his saying to me take the photo mum - get it over with!lol

{Boys with Curls}

Meet little James and his baby brother Zach. Zach had the most amazing mop of gorgeous curls I have ever seen - so gorgeous! Apparently his big brother had the same when he was a baby. He was full of smiles and so happy on the day. Little James - well he decided to be a typical two year old - don't think he liked me or my big camera very much but we did manage to ge a few smiles and beautiful stares out of him. (Amanda & Drew - so lovely to meet you last weekend - your boys are just devine - looks like you might just have to have a family photo of three - not looking too good at this stage!LOL Will be in touch shortly with your completed gallery}

{Shhh - Baby Finally Sleeping!}Newborn Photography Melbourne

The result from my recent maternity session - meet the gorgeous Lachlan (love the name as it's the same as my big boy). Born about a week overdue and weighing at at 4.25kg!! When Luke emailed me letting me know that he had arrived I think I was in shock that he was so big! Little Lachlan decide to be a cat napper on the day of his session so I had to be quick in capturing him fast asleep. The results of him peacefully asleep were well worth the wait. {Vina and Luke thank -you for having me over to capture your beautiful boy and sorry it took so long - hope he slept for a you all night!LOL Will be in touch shortly with your completed gallery}

I have been inspired by so many people to start taking photos of my children ' in the moment'. Poor Jack - I have been so slack with his baby album - it stops at five months - the time I got my camera. I forgot to take these kind of shots as I was so busy learning and trying to capture the perfect 'one'. Over time I realised that these ones - although beautiful - never really captured the 'real' them. My goal with my own children this year is to capture them as they are - learning to take photos with emotion so that they tell a story of who they truley are. Just before Christmas I had the pleasure of photographing little Georgia.
